Bridge: AlNiCo V

A tight, focused low end, a bright, glassy top-end, and a cutting midrange that will make your solos cut through the mix.

Middle & Neck: AlNiCo III

In the middle and neck positions, we've opted to better emulate vintage pickups with AlNiCo III magnets (read more here). These pickups offer a mellower, more rounded tone. The AlNiCo III magnets provide a softer top end, a more expansive low end, and a growl when you dig in. The result is an articulate "quack" in positions 2 and 4, and a neck tone that is ideal for bluesy licks on the edge of breakup.

Hand-Wound for Superior Tone

Each pickup in the "V-III" set is hand-wound in our Bristol workshop. This process, which cannot be replicated by machine, results in a more complex harmonic content and a touch-sensitive response. We use only high-quality and sustainable materials, giving a lifetime of sonic excellence. We wax-pot all of our pickups to prevent microphonics, as well as protecting the wire.
